Financial Analyst

Peterson Cat has a need for a Financial Analyst at our San Leandro, CA location.  This position is responsible for supporting all phases of financial planning, including monthly reporting, forecasting, and annual budgeting. The Analyst is responsible for analysis of all compiled financials and reporting those findings to upper management as appropriate.

Job functions include the following: 

Work with operations and administrative and professional teams to prepare quarterly rolling forecasts and annual business plans, and present to upper management.

Challenge the reasonableness of financial forecasts based upon historical performance, identified improvement initiatives and economic data.

Prepare variance analysis of forecast and actual financial results.

Work with the businesses on key financial and operating metrics for driving improvements in financial performance.

Monitor, track, evaluate, suggest and build financial performance metrics.

Continuously streamline processes to eliminate inefficiencies and improve results.

Perform ad hoc financial analysis as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree from a fully accredited college in Finance or Accounting or other closely related field; and a minimum of two years of hands-on financial analysis experience with proficiency in SQL and Adaptive Insights preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
