POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Associate with experience in international logistics to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely shipments of goods, coordinating with carriers, and managing documentation related to international shipping. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of customs regulations and international shipping protocols.

 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Coordinate and oversee shipments of goods to international destinations.
  • Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and documentation requirements.
  • Communicate with carriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to arrange shipments.
  • Prepare shipping documents such as commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin.
  • Track shipments and provide updates to internal teams and customers as needed.
  • Resolve issues related to shipping delays, customs clearance, and transportation logistics.
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory, and transportation logistics.
  • Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to address shipping inquiries and issues.
  • Evaluate shipping methods and costs to find the most efficient and cost-effective solutions.

 

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience as a Shipping Associate or similar role with a focus on international shipping.
  • Knowledge of international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and documentation requirements.
  • Familiarity with shipping software and tracking systems (e.g., FedEx, UPS, DHL, etc.).
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in preparing shipping documentation.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with carriers, customs brokers, and internal teams.
  • Problem-solving skills to resolve shipping-related issues and optimize logistics.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel) and experience with ERP or inventory management systems is a plus.
