Job Description

The Sr. Account Executive is responsible and accountable for the management and execution of all sales strategy initiatives with major large format retail chains.

The main priorities are executing our business strategy and initiatives with assigned national and/or regional retail account buyers, selling at key inflection points along each retailer’s selling cycle to drive measurable results. Experience in the alcohol and non-alcoholic beverage industry is highly desired but not mandatory. Retail sales experience is required.

Salary range is $90,000 - $115,000 DOE.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Driving results through best-in-class sales execution resulting in measurable goal attainment through net new distribution, pricing promotions and ad/display mandates.
  • Managing various administrative needs of each retailer.
  • Working with and being proficient in syndicated data sources such as Neilsen/IRI.
  • Develop ad/display SMART objectives and recommendation presentations along the retailer’s specific promotional cadence that are influential and impactful to each retailer’s business strategy highlighting relevant brand/SKU data to increase our ad/display frequency.
  • Communicate relevant information to the sales team such as weekly ad features, autoship programs, pricing changes, ROT (return on truck) reports, add/delete results from assortment cycles, distribution gap reports, post promotional analysis, etc. for alignment with each warehouse entity and supplier network to optimize store level execution.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and Brand Management Teams to stay up to date on relevant innovations, programming, branding/product updates, discontinuations etc..
  • Continue self-education of distributor products within various commodities such as beer, wine, spirits and N/A products.
  • Develop productive and mutually beneficial business relationships with assigned National and Regional account buyers, further enhancing credibility while developing trust as their preferred distributor advisor.

 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of Trade Development experience preferred.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must have valid driver’s license, good driving record, proof of auto insurance (SR-22 is not acceptable), and own means of reliable transportation.
  • Prefer beverage sales experience, knowledge of local market, customer service skills, and experience in the distribution industry.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Must have strong presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in the alcohol and non-alcoholic beverage industry is highly desired but not mandatory.
  • Retail sales experience is required.

  • This position will be performed at the corporate office in Bellevue, WA.
