Lifelong Learning Program Coordinator

The Advancement division at Dartmouth is searching for a key partner to join Alumni Relations as Lifelong Learning Program Coordinator.  The Lifelong Learning team is part of a large and complex organization that is dedicated to engaging alumni and fostering a lasting connection to Dartmouth. Pioneers in the educational travel industry, our team engages alumni and their families through enlightening global travel adventures that connects travelers with exciting destinations and Dartmouth’s faculty and research.  Collaboratively, our team researches, plans, and books more than 40 trips each year with the Dartmouth traveler in mind.  Since the pandemic, we have significantly expanded our online programming, focusing primarily on big ideas and contemporary, newsworthy issues. 

The Job:  Our Lifelong Learning Program Coordinator will assist the team in planning programming and travel through marketing campaigns that include creative digital and print communications strategies.  Event registrations and payment processing, traveler preparation, and faculty member trip lead preparation are a few of the complex details leading up to the event.  Post event surveys of our travelers and analysis of effectiveness of each event is something we carefully review as a revenue center for our non-profit organization.  Our Program Coordinator is our go-to partner for operational support in all of these areas. 

Your Skills:  As our new colleague, you will have an Associate’s degree and three years of event experience, or the equivalent.  Your top-notch customer service ethic and communication skills will help our team present our best to our colleagues and our alumni every day.  Our work is fast-paced and your flexibility, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize will help us stay on track with our programming and project planning.  Our technology suite currently includes Microsoft Office, Advance, email marketing tools, Jira, and Slack.  If you bring us solid skills in the Microsoft Office suite that are part of our everyday work (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), we’ll teach you the rest of our software programs through our onboarding plan.  Your entrepreneurial spirit is welcome!

Our Location:  Our team is based in the heart of Dartmouth’s campus in Hanover, NH.  This position can offer you a blend of remote and onsite work through a hybrid work arrangement.  If selected for a hybrid work, our hire will need to reside within a commutable distance to Hanover, NH.
