HOPE 4 Youth is a nonprofit organization firmly rooted in the goal of ending youth homelessness.  Our mission is to provide pathways to end youth homelessness. Our vision is to ensure all youth feel safe, valued, and supported while reaching their full potential. This begins with meeting their basic needs and leads to giving them the tools to thrive. HOPE 4 Youth provides a safe place for youth to access basic needs support, educational and employment programs and opportunities, and transitional housing options. We believe in the power of a youth’s potential and work with the community to improve the challenges unhoused youth face.

Wages & Benefits

$17.00 - $18.00 per hour; PTO accrues for all hours worked; paid holidays for the year plus 2 floating holidays; affordable dental and vision insurance; employer paid term life and disability coverage; retirement plan with immediate vesting and matching contribution.

 

Schedule

This is a part-time position and located in-person in an office setting.

 

A Typical Day in the Life…

A typical day as HOPE 4 Youth’s HOPE 4 Youth Center Support provides an opportunity to enhance and support the work of the HOPE 4 Youth Center Program Team. Responsibilities will include the following:

  • Greeting all individuals who enter the drop-in-center with a trauma-informed and strength-based mindset.
  • Assisting youth with obtaining services for their needs.
  • Collecting data for all services as instructed and performing data entry of Coordinated Entry Assessments completed by Youth Coordinators.
  • Answering agency phones and direct calls.
  • Monitoring youth activities and the security of the center.
  • Ensuring front desk forms, new youth intake folders, etc. are readily available and up to date.
  • Maintaining office and program supplies by checking inventory and ordering items.
  • Providing administrative support to program team, volunteers, and support staff.
  • Performing regular data audits to ensure data quality and working with program managers and staff to address data quality issues.
  • Collaborating across departments to develop reports and identify trends that support compelling and impactful storytelling to share with stakeholders.
  • Conducting data analysis and translating findings into recommendations.

 

 

Who You Are

  • You hold a high school diploma or GED.
  • Previous experience working with Youth ages 16-24 is preferred.
  • Previous experience with data collection systems is preferred.
  • You are familiar with MS Office Suite, (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc); experience with database management platforms is a plus.
  • You demonstrate strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • You are dependable, exhibit a high degree of professionalism, exercise good judgement, and have the ability to use discretion in dealing with confidential information.
  • You have the ability to maintain positive, healthy relationships with co-workers and are a team player.
  • You have the ability to take initiative, multi-task, and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • You have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • You are able to work effectively in a diverse, mission-driven agency committed to the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion with respect to race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual-orientation, socio-economic status, nationality, and religion.
  • Volunteers are an integral part of our work and culture at HOPE 4 Youth. All staff must embrace volunteers as an integral part of the organization, and be willing to manage, supervise, work alongside, and foster good relationships with volunteers.
  • You have a valid driver’s license, access to reliable transportation, and the ability to meet H4Y’s driving record requirements. Please note that if the license was not issued in the state of Minnesota, you have 60 days after becoming a Minnesota resident in which to apply for your Minnesota driver's license or permit (not applicable for new hires living out of state).
