English as a foreign language (EFL) teachers help both adults and children in the United States and around the world to learn or improve their English 

As an English as a Second Language (ESL) instructor, you will employ diverse course materials, audiovisual aids, and interactive tools to foster student communication. Emphasis is placed on developing listening, speaking, reading, and writing abilities through activities such as dialogue, role-playing, formal exercises, language games, and literary exploration.

Opportunities abound in various settings, including commercial language schools, educational institutions, and across industries worldwide. Many educators also pursue independent teaching ventures. 

EFL/ESL Schedule

Prerequisites for English as a Foreign Language (EFL) Teacher

  • Argo TEFL Abroad 120 hour LIVE online certification course
  • Proficient level of English

  • Some higher education preferred
