Garment Cutter - Full Time, Walt Disney World
We are looking for Garment Cutters! Have you ever dreamed of being a Garment Cutter at Walt Disney World? Garment Cutters support the Costuming Production Workroom for Disney Live Entertainment! You will help create costumes using fabrics and patterns for our shows, parades, and Character Meet and Greets. This role uses computer-controlled machines to cut materials while contributing to costume documentation.
The pay rate for this role in Florida is $17.25 per hour.

Responsibilities:
- Cut material using a computer-controlled machine, scissors, or electric knife
- Keep areas and equipment clean and in good repair
- Prepare fabric for cutting
- Understand garment pattern markers and yields
- Follow and contribute to costume documentation
- Bundle and mark all cut work and pattern pieces
- Identify issues with cut yields
- Press equipment experience is required
- Prolonged standing during peak operational hours
- Work with items weighing 40lbs or more
- Flexible with work schedule, including overtime, weekends and holidays
- Additional Personal Protective Equipment (face shields, goggles, refillable hand sanitizers, etc.) may be required
- Cast members may be required to handle cleaning chemicals and supplies
Basic Qualifications:
- Push, pull, lift, and/or carry a minimum of 40 lb,, including overhead
- Climb ladders, stairs and work in various elevations
- Operate basic computer systems
- Experience with Excel and World
- Knowledge of cutting techniques and terminology
- Physical role requiring heavy lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, and kneeling
- Willing to work at multiple heights
- Good communication skills
- Full-Time roles require Full availability for any shift, seven (7) days per week, including nights, weekends, and holidays is preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two (2) years' experience in garment construction
