Product Support Engineer

Job Details:

Job Title:                    Product Support Engineer (LAB Research Chemist/Physicist/Engineer II)

Location:                    Maplewood, MN, 55144, United States  (Onsite)

Duration:                    12 months

Shift Timing:               Expectation is 1st shift, though there may be some rare instances where this is not the case. Work will be performed between 6 am – 6 pm, Monday- Friday.

Possible Exposures: Isocyanates and Acrylates 

Minimum education requirements: BS in a Science or Engineering field. Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering preferred.

Preferred to have Films/Lamination/Coating/ Polymer knowledge / experience

Testing Physical properties and report results.

Spectroscopic Techniques and Physical measurement.

Physical Polymer testing and tensile strength

Some Wet Chemistry is good to have

Top 3* required skills:

Film coating processes, Practical understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC), Test Methods for films

Detailed Job Description:

• Provide technical support and services for the window film portfolio in CBTD

• Complete assigned technical activities related to product design changes in the areas of raw material management, test method development and validation, and management of specification changes

• Verify, through application of scientific and engineering principles, product performance characteristics in support of product claims and warranties

• Analyzes, interprets, and communicates results of technical work
