As Hospitality Staff Accountant at EWH, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and efficient financial operations of our properties. You will maintain accurate financial records, processing transactions, and assisting with various accounting functions. This position will be responsible for various accounting functions, including but not limited to general ledger reconciliation, accounts payable and receivable, financial analysis, and compliance with industry regulations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain financial records, support budgeting, processes, and contribute to the overall success of our properties.

Duties Include:

General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.

Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process invoices, payments, and receipts promptly and accurately. Monitor accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.

Financial Analysis: Prepare financial reports and analysis to support management decisions. Monitor property financial performance and identify areas for improvement.

Budget Support: Assist in the preparation and monitoring of property budgets. Provide input and analysis to support budgeting processes.

Month-end and Year-end Close: Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies. Keep up-to-date with accounting standards and regulations.

Financial Reporting: Prepare and distribute financial statements and reports to management and stakeholders in a timely manner.

Location: Avon, CO (hybrid option: must reside in Colorado and have the ability to come to the Avon office periodically/as needed)

Start Date: ASAP

Employment Type: Full Time, Year Round

Pay: $26-$30/hour, depending on experience

Schedule: Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm

 

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA or related certification is a plus. Previous accounting experience in the hospitality industry is a plus. Knowledge of hospitality industry accounting standards is preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
