Public Health Nurse I
Annual Salary: $75,462.40 - $98,113.60

Position Information:
The Public Health Nurse I performs professional public health nursing services for the community, individuals and families; provides clinic and home services, patient education, support and community service referrals; and performs related work as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.
License Or Certificate:
- A valid license to practice as Registered Nurse in the State of Nevada is required at the time of appointment.
- A valid driver's license is required at the time of appointment.
- Must obtain Office Lab Assistance Certificate within 3 months of appointment, depending on area of assignment.
- May be required to achieve and maintain valid CPR and First Aid certifications, depending on area of assignment.
The NNPH is currently hiring for one specialized area of assignment within the Immunization Program. The Immunization Program serves clients from infancy through all stages of life.
Ideal Candidate (all positions within NNPH):
- Will have experience with client care in a clinic and community setting
- Will have the capacity to prioritize and effectively manage time
- Will have effective communications skills
- May have bilingual skills (oral and written)
Ideal Candidate in the Immunization Program will have the above, as well as:
- Experience handling vaccine storage, inventory and administration
- Experience in forecasting for vaccinations
- Clinical skills to include: provide age appropriate vaccines, vaccine education to family, recognize vaccine contraindications
- Public Health experience
