Offshore Measurement Technician II

What you will do:

  • Maintain meter stations, including electrical, pressure and temperature controls.
  • Test equipment for accuracy and reliability.
  • Provide Field maintenance for meter station installations.
  • Assist other company measurement technicians and specialists in their respective areas.
  • Maintain reports and record keeping
  • Provide measurement system installation and startup services for all systems implemented on company pipeline systems.
  • Provide technical support, troubleshooting and repair services to Operations for all measurement related systems.
  • Provide gas analytical services per the employment of gas chromatography as the need arises and per established company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain current knowledge of developments in Company and industry standards in gas measurement.
  • Provide quality control/inspections services on measurement systems to ensure integrity.
  • Collaborate with internal and external business associates/customers of all levels regarding measurement systems in a timely, substantiated, and professional manner.
  • 7 on 7 off schedule stationed offshore
  • Available 24 hours per day for on-call and emergency situations while on hitch
  • Approximately 30% Control room-vs-75 % outside operations in all types of weather.
  • Be able to schedule work week and make logistical plans for Helicopter operations.

 

Who you are:

  • On the job training of 5-10 years minimum or equivalent.
  • Detailed knowledge of applicable industry standards and the application of such.
  • Experience in measurement equipment installation, maintenance and Instrumentation and Electronics is required. Extensive experience with and knowledge of volumetric and energy measurement systems, including orifice, ultrasonic, turbine and positive displacement metering, electronic flow computers, gas chromatographs and gas chromatography, and composite gas sampling systems.
  • Capability to participate in and successfully complete the aforementioned levels of training or study.

 

Working Conditions:

The selected candidate will work 12 a hour day 7&7 schedule offshore out of the Houma Louisiana Office. Wednesday (Crew Change) Technicians will need to be physically able to climb a lot of stairs daily and will be exposed to heat and cold during the different seasons. Must be willing to work overtime, extended hours, respond to callouts if needed on days off and work holidays if Holidays fall on your schedule. Works daily in an offshore environment. Frequently flies on helicopters.#joinourteam
