Electrical Engineer (Full Time)

Electrical Engineer 

Delsys seeks motivated candidates with a strong interest in analog instrumentation design, and in interfacing varieties of transducers and sensing systems to wearable sensor constructs. Successful candidates will work with the Hardware team at Delsys to evolve their existing sensor portfolio and to translate advanced research ideas into commercial products.  

We embrace a cross-disciplinary approach towards engineering and our focus is on developing flexible wearable constructs that fuse multi-sensing modalities, which include neural/EMG sensing, inertial sensing, force sensing, and pressure distribution technologies. Candidates must have a strong background in electrical engineering and a proven track record for solving multi-disciplinary challenges.  Strong communication and documentation skills are required. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated affinity for analytical thinking, pragmatic problem-solving and a hands-on understanding of design processes. 

Primary Responsibilities 

Explore instrumentation circuits and designs to optimize sensor performance 

Develop and maintain schematic and PCB designs for various sensor, data acquisition and manufacturing test fixture technologies 

Design and develop test plans for vetting existing and new products 

Provide rapid response and support for research and prototype projects defined by the R&D objectives of the company 

 

Qualifications 

Be currently enrolled in or have recently graduated from an undergraduate or graduate electrical engineering, mechanical engineering program or a biomedical engineering with a strong background in electrical or mechanical engineering 

Demonstrate a strong command of electronics and electrical concepts 

Have a sound foundation in general engineering fundamentals including physics, materials, mechanics and CAD 

Possess practical experience through academic and personal projects, or career work
