Transportation Engineer Civil

The Division of Engineering Services (DES), Structures and Engineering Services, Office of Transportation Architecture, is recruiting for a Transportation Engineer (TE) (Civil) position, located in Sacramento.

Under direction of a Senior Transportation Engineer (Supervisor), SES, OTA, Building Office Engineer Branch, the TE (Civil) prepares complex cost estimates for buildings and transportation-related structures. The TE (Civil) provides the item costs for the Engineer's Estimate for all building and highway related structures. The TE (Civil) will also perform a wide variety of professional engineering work in either an office or field setting; as incumbents progress in experience they will be assigned more difficult work and may function as a lead person over the activities of various engineering and technical personnel; and do other related work.

Candidates are required to review the Minimum Qualifications (MQs) for this classification. If you meet MQs under Pattern II and require the TE Civil in-person written hurdle exam, DO NOT TAKE the TE Civil online exam prior to passing the written hurdle.
