Mental Health Scheduling Coordinator

Overview: 

The Mental Health Scheduling Coordinator position provides coverage in the Staffing Office at the Vermont Psychiatric Care Hospital. The Staffing Office is open 24/7 and responsible for ensuring adequate staffing of the Nursing Staff on the inpatient psychiatric units among other related duties. It is considered an essential position due to the nature of the work and is required to have an employee present at all times.


This position is currently operating under 12 hour shifts and will be on Night Shift (6:30pm-7:00am). The schedule is Saturday-Tuesday nights one week, and Saturday- Monday nights the other week. There is a shift differential of $2.50/hr on Sunday-Thursday night shifts and an additional $1.50/hr on Friday-Saturday night shifts, totaling $4.00/hr. Time and a half pay is included in hours worked over 40 hours in one week as well!

Environmental Factors: 

Duties are generally performed in a standard office setting but may require working on one of the DMH Treatment Facility patient units as needed. Some work outside of regular work schedule may be required. There may be periods of heavy workloads and tight deadlines.

 

Minimum Qualifications: 

Bachelor's degree.

OR

Two years of full-time college coursework OR associate's degree AND two (2) years or more performing administrative level duties in a health care, employment and training, or government setting.

OR

High School diploma or equivalent AND four (4) years or more performing administrative level duties in a health care, employment and training, or government setting.

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

Experience with work schedule coordination or coordination of staffing in large scale operations.
