What you’ll do:

The People & Culture Coordinator is our version of an air traffic controller. This person is the face of our department; responsible for supporting all administrative functions of the People & Culture team while providing stellar customer service directly to team members employed at our properties. This is a highly administrative position that requires skills in Excel and MS Office. The team member is a wizard at juggling emails, phone calls and balancing a variety of tasks/systems. The role will support the People & Culture and support business leaders at all levels, has a strong solution-orientation and thrive in a fast paced, but amazingly rewarding, fun environment. We are all about hospitality and saying YES!

The Brass Tacks

  • Responsible for recruitment tasks from posting jobs, prescreening candidates, coordinating the interviewing process for department managers, ordering background checks / MVRs, submitting offer letters (if applicable), and hiring into Dayforce.
  • Coordinates the onboarding process for Team Members to include compliance items (I9 verification, employee task list, required trainings / policy acknowledgments, etc).
  • Facilitates and ensures required trainings are completed (TMO, TMO II, PDH, Human Trafficking, and any other company/state mandated trainings).
  • Drives and embraces culture by coordinating events and owning recognition programs.
  • Resolves pay inconsistencies and timekeeping issues with team members and managers.
  • Actas first point of contact for admin tasks related to our HRIS (Dayforce) including submitting forms, managing work assignments, processing approvals, etc.
  • Maintains and oversees team member files within Dayforce and other confidential information within the department.
  • Maintains and tracks required certifications and licenses (food handler card, alcohol serving permit, etc.)
  • Requests driver’s DMV records annually from their start date.
  • Lead Pulse Survey efforts, ensuring team members have the access needed to complete the survey – troubleshooting with People Systems as needed.
  • Coordinates health/wellness program, company discounts, Beekeeper champion, and answering P&C related questions.
  • Liaison between team members, managers, and the SSC Specialist for benefits, leave of absences, workers compensation, payroll, etc.
  • Refer and/or escalate any employee relations issues to the Department Manager, General Manager, and/or Business Partner.
  • Audit timesheets weekly to identify errors and inform the department manager/General Manager.
  • Review attestation report weekly and follow up as needed.
  • Review I9 incompletion list weekly to ensure that team members have a completed I9 on file within required timeframe.
  • Responsible for completing quarterly compliance checklists.
  • Respond to and/or process all team members’ voicemails, emails, and requests in a timely fashion (within 24 – 48 hours).
  • Splits time between Hotel Zoso (3 full days, 2 half days) and Palm Mountain Resort & Spa (2 half days).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Excellent Customer Service Skills
  • Strong computer skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables a MUST)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Working knowledge of all applicable HR laws, codes, and regulations
  • Works well in both team oriented and autonomous environments
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, integrity and professionalism in all transactions, including communicating and working with confidential and sensitive information
  • Ability to produce high quality work, be flexible, prioritize business demands, anticipate needs, be proactive, and take initiative
