Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking an experienced real estate appraisal professional to fill the vacancy of a Property & Acquisition Specialist 5 and lead the Southwest Region’s (SWR) Appraisal Team. This position supervises, trains, develops, and leads staff involved in the property valuation program for SW Region. This is a highly technical area that must understand and comply with Federal and State Rules & Regulations including the Uniform Act and Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP). This position is responsible for compliance to ensure Federal funding for projects is not jeopardized and all appraisal and appraisal reviews are completed as required by WSDOT, within budget and project schedules. As such, this position is vital to the success of transportation projects that are necessary for the safety of the traveling public.
