Merchandising Intern

Overview:

The Back-to-Back World Champion Las Vegas Aces are seeking the best and brightest students to join their internship program. The Aces tip off their 2024 season in May and are looking to maintain the highest level of experience for fans on and off the court. The position will assist with a wide range of responsibilities as it pertains to Las Vegas Aces retail needs leveraging brand awareness and revenue. The Merchandising intern will work directly with the Chief Strategy Officer.

Job Title: Merchandising Intern 

Reports To: Chief Strategy Officer 

 

Responsibilities:

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Work directly with the CSO and WNBA Licensees to help select products for the Las Vegas Aces that are in demand for the fanbase.
  • Help develop short and long-term product assortment strategies. 
  • Assist in creating the vision for the graphics that will go on apparel.
  • Help analyze category performance. 
  • Assist with inventory management via Rank and Rally. 
  • Amplify team and player accomplishments through merchandise. 
  • Utilize merchandise to story tell.
  • E-Commerce website assistance. 
  • Assist in merchandise photoshoots for website, ads, and social media needs.
  • Maintain inventory levels at Aces Team Shop at Aces HQ.
  • Organize and stock Aces Team Shop at Aces HQ displays. 
  • Game day assistance with product placement.
  • Game day assistance with player and staff needs. 
  • Game day assistance with Item of the Game

  • A creative thinker that is performance minded.
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail.
  • A passion for sports and growing the game.
  • Demonstrates ability to manage projects with diverse, cross functional teams of professionals.
  • Be able to make decisions in a fast-paced atmosphere.
  • A solution-oriented, out-of-the-box-thinker with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to drive to and from the internship 
  • Able to lift over 15 lbs.
