Parks Worker II

Here’s what you can expect to do in this role: 

  • Perform manual labor to maintain and repair the City of Saint Paul's parks and recreation facilities such as parks, parkways, recreation centers, and other structures. 
  • Drive vehicles, operate a variety of tools and equipment including floor machines, and safely uses chemicals for maintenance work. 
  • Conform with all department, city, and state safety rules and regulations. 
  • Inspect and perform grounds keeping services, maintain ice skating rinks, and perform snow removal as assigned. 

Information Specific to this Position: 
Hours and schedule varies. Nights, weekend, and holiday work may be required. Training will be provided. 

The Parks Worker II position is entry level to career opportunities include pathways into Parks Worker IIIGrounds Crew Leader, and Parks Maintenance Supervisor positions.

 Position Requirements:

Must have two seasons of full time work (at least 1000 hours) in park maintenance or custodial work and one year of experience driving with a valid driving license.

Must possess and maintain a valid Minnesota Class D Driver's License or equivalent out of state driver's license.
