Human Resource Intern

Job Summary

HR Interns combine academic knowledge with the opportunity for hands-on experience to aid the organization. HR Interns will assist with the establishment of HR programs, policies, and initiatives related to developing and retaining a talented and engaged workforce.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

·        Work with HR Team to create and improve standard HR procedures

·        Review and update HR policies, processes, and procedures

·        Participate in developing organizational guidelines and procedures

·        Partner with the HR department to complete general administrative and clerical work

·        Participate in the coordination of employee relations events

·        Contribute to the overall success of the People/Human Resource team

·        Create and administer policies and SOPs

·        Research best practices of California companies

·        Other duties and projects as assigned

Key Job Requirements

  • Must be currently pursuing a bachelor or master’s degree in HRM, Business or related major
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Must exercise the highest level of confidentiality and integrity
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Effective oral and written communication skills

Supervisory Responsibilities

·        None

Physical Requirements

·        Lifting boxes up to 50 pounds

·        Walking up and down stairs

·        Sitting or standing for long periods of time

·        Working in an office environment
