Photographer/Videographer - Camp Lake Hubert

Not your average photography gig!

Bridge the gap between our campers and their families as they learn and explore at Camp Lake Hubert! Located in the beautiful Brainerd Lakes Area of Minnesota, Camp Lake Hubert, alongside its brother camp, Camp Lincoln, features over 40 activity options for our campers ages 7-17. As a photographer at camp, your schedule will include many opportunities to mentor and support youth while completing photography assignments and serving our Marketing team.

All camp staff are required to live on-site for the duration of their camp contract and will receive complimentary room & board.
 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Photograph all campers, activity areas, and events around camp as necessary
  • Upload all photos to the online viewing database and crop as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the other Photographers to make sure all events have adequate photographic coverage.
  • Take photos of events and special-off camp events and competitions as instructed.
  • Care for the cameras and photography equipment.
  • Apply basic youth development principles in working with campers through communication, relationship development, and respect for diversity, involvement, and empowerment of youth.
  • Be aware of and implement safety guidelines, as well as role model them.
  • Be a role model to campers and staff in your attitude and behavior, including sanitation, schedule, and sportsmanship.

Other Job Duties:

  • Participate enthusiastically in all camp activities.
  • Participate as a member of the camp staff team to deliver and supervise evening programs, special events, overnights, and other all-camp activities and camp functions.

Qualifications:

  • Able to edit, organize and produce large volumes of high quality photographs and or video.
  • Able to utilize Adobe Suite (mainly Lightroom, Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign)
  • Bachelors Degree in Photography/Videography preferred, or coursework completed in pursuit of degree - ask how we can partner to make this position an internship!
    • Some educational institutions require prior approval before the start of an internship for academic credit. It is the responsibility of the student to check with their institution to be sure they meet any requirements before they accept a position.
  • Able to effectively practice time management is required
