Nutrition and Food Service - Camp Lake Hubert

Camp Lake Hubert is a premier traditional summer camp for girls dating back to our founding in 1927, sister camp of Camp Lincoln. With over 100+ years of family-owned operation, there is a reason why the Camp Lincoln & Camp Lake Hubert traditions have been carried on for four generations. Our camps are located in the Great Northwoods of Minnesota, 2 ½ hours north of Minneapolis/St. Paul. Catering to a diverse group of campers and staff from across the country, and further afield, we are committed to excellence in camping and providing our staff and campers with opportunities for personal growth.

The Nutrition Specialist / Food Service staff will, under the guidance of the Food Service Manager, coordinate the planning and preparation of meals to support the needs of campers and staff with alternative dietary needs such as: gluten free, vegetarian, allergies, religious observances, etc. Our team of 14 provides three meals per day to more than 300 campers and staff throughout the season. Highlights of our kitchen offerings include regular salad bars and an emphasis on balanced meals, international influence from our diverse team, creative theme opportunities, and classic camp staples. Yes, you're going to have the occasional chicken nugget and tater tot day, AND, there will also be picadillo, Caesar salad wraps, quiche, and more! Love baking? Help with the preparation of special occasion cakes to make birthdays and camper performances extra special.

Our 2024 Season will run from late May into mid-August, with opportunities to extend into our post-camp season.

Live on-site and join our camp community! Make amazing friends from all over the world, relax and enjoy the lake country in your free time, and connect with campers. Most support staff do not live in a cabin with campers, but will be assigned to a “buddy cabin” to join for activities, root for in all-camp activities, and get to know during nightly cabin wind-downs.

For our Nutrition Specialist / Food Service positions, we prefer . . .

  • 19+ years old
  • Food service experience
    • Higher levels of experience will be considered for Cook and Head Cook positions
  • Food handling certifications (some qualify for additional salary)
  • An interest in mentoring youth both in and out of the kitchen
  • Women! Men with exceptional qualifications and who are able to thrive in a women-led atmosphere will be considered.
