Description
Boehringer Ingelheim is currently seeking a talented and innovative Intern to join our Poultry Sales & Service departments based out of our Duluth, GA office (including virtual and field work). As a Sales & Service Intern, you should have excellent verbal and written communication skills. You should have an interest in the agricultural or animal health industry and have some poultry experience. While working as a Sales & Service intern you will work closely with the poultry field and technical veterinary teams in the execution and training of customers in the use and application of poultry vaccines and diagnostic sample collection. The intern will summarize & report their learnings at the end of the assignment to the Poultry leadership team which may include a specific project around advancements in vaccine delivery, execution or poultry customer support.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist Key Account Managers and Area Service Technicians with specific projects as required (strategic and tactical)
- Assist with the collection and submission of Poultry diagnostic samples
- Work with veterinary team to perform analysis of scientific & health data
- Spend time training and meeting with customers on vaccine use with Key Account Managers
- Summary and reporting of the experience at finale to the BI leadership team for discussion & evaluation of learnings
Requirements
Must be a current undergraduate, graduate or advanced degree student in good academic standing
Student must be enrolled at a college or university for the duration of the internship
Overall cumulative minimum GPA from last completed quarter/semester 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) preferred
Major or minor in related field of internship
Undergraduate students must have completed at least 12 credit hours at current college or university
Graduate and advanced degree students must have completed at least 9 credit hours at current college or university
- Must be eligible to drive and rent a vehicle and carry up to 70# unassisted

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet, and Outlook required
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required

• Agricultural / Poultry industry knowledge or experience preferred
• Knowledge and ability to execute standard poultry biosecurity programs required
• Contact with poultry outside of this Internship must be limited in accordance with BI Biosecurity guidelines.
Eligibility Requirements
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
- Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required)
- Must be 18 years of age or older
