2024 Central Flow Lead - Tempe, AZ

Amazon North American Customer Fulfillment (NACF) Planning and Execution Team (PLEX) is a central part of Amazon and at the heart of our supply chain processes. The Central Flow team focuses on operational execution, risk mitigation, and best practices to deliver for our customers.

The Central Flow team provides critical operational insights and works with leaders to develop advanced and intuitive automated flow control for Amazon operations. Central Flow is comprised of multiple business verticals each tasked with monitoring and overseeing different aspects of daily operations throughout Amazon’s fulfillment network. Central Flow Leads are responsible for monitoring and managing these workflow functions from a centralized location in Tempe, Arizona.

Program Quick Facts and Location
• This position is a corporate role in an office setting. This position interacts with stakeholders across the US and Canada and will be located in an the Central Flow center of excellence in Tempe, Arizona.

Key job responsibilities
• Learning to coach, manage, and develop execution behaviors of Fulfillment Leaders in Amazon
• Drive standard work and continuous improvement through an intern project.
• Assist in communicating policies to your sites and act as a source of information for the team.
• Support all risk reduction and speed improvement initiatives to ensure a safe and high-quality fulfillment environment for all employees, customers and products within your sites.
• Ensure procedures are followed for flow management and daily execution.
• Partner with site management teams to establish and maintain quality control standards.
• Maintain performance goals and targets to ensure accuracy and quality for customers.
• Work weekends and holidays as needed.
• Work overtime as needed.
• Utilize existing tools, reporting, or data sources to deep dive problems and provide resolution or corrective action as needed.


A day in the life
As a Central Flow Lead, you will have the opportunity to learn how to coach and develop leaders within an Amazon Fulfillment Center. You will guide the hourly and daily decision making of our operations leaders to help deliver on our customer promise. Your main focus will be using data to quantify risk, provide guidance and direction, and influence our fulfillment centers deliver strategy. You will also get the chance to develop projects in partnership with your team leadership that will impact Amazon supply chain planning and execution. You will ensure that the Amazon sites you support have all the tools needed to succeed for any task during a shift. Through performing daily syncs, hourly audits, and more, you will engage with leaders on the frontline, modeling behaviors of success and jumping in to provide guidance or share your experience or develop these leaders.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree with a conferral date between May 2022 and August 2024

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Adept at the ability to motivate others in a deadline-focused environment
• Ability to evaluate and dive deep into data to provide thought-provoking, workable business solutions
• Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program such as Business Administration, Operations Management, or related area
• Ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment
