Project Manager for Software Company

Our Las Vegas based company develops software you use every day for credit card terminals, registers, kiosks, parking meters, gas pumps, and EV chargers. We manage a suite of products for ourselves and clients locally and globally as preferred partners to major credit card brands with a positive reputation in the Fintech industry. Job Duties:


 

  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant internal stakeholders and ensuring real world feasibility.
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation with technical team leads.
  • Assist in the development of detailed project plans to monitor and track progress.
  • Manage changes to project scopes, project schedules, and project costs using company approved verification techniques.
  • Report and escalate failures of deliverables and speed bump issues to management as needed.
  • Manage the relationship with the client and relevant stakeholders in a pleasant manner.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties and vendors as needed. 
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of comprehensive project documentation.
  • Meet with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project.
  • Track project performance for successful completion of short and long-term goals
  • Work closely with financial stakeholders to ensure hours performed are within budget and scope. 
  • Help to develop distilled project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members that may not possess the technical expertise to understand more complex topics with specialized knowledge.
  • Develop and assist in the development of spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps to document needs



 

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Business, project management or similar educational background.
  • Ability to lead project teams of various sizes and see them through to completion.
  • Understanding of use and application of formal project management methodologies.
  • Able to complete projects in a timely manner.
  • Budget management experience.
  • Effective interpersonal skills.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective time management.
  • The ability to see the wider picture while not losing the details
  • The ability to break down complex problems into manageable action items
  • Ability to travel if and when needed for in person meetings and longer term needs of clients
