Quality Engineer - Summer Internship

POSITION SUMMARY:
The QA Engineering Intern position will assist and provide support to the Zekelman Industries Technical Team at the Niles OH Facility and as needed the Farrell, PA Facility.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform microanalysis and physical testing of steel samples and document all results.
- Monitor process control parameters for equipment to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures.
- Conduct statistical studies as directed by the quality team.
- Work closely with other team members to update standard operating instructions based on results of testing and monitoring functions.
- Other projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- Currently enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited college/university preferably in the technical field i.e. Material Science, Engineering, Chemistry, etc.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of all aspects of job responsibilities.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient computer skills (word processing and spreadsheets).
- Regular, full-time, predictable onsite attendance per the posted schedule is an essential function of this role.
