We are hiring an ACT Employment Specialist in Asheville
We offer a $3000 sign on bonus, meaningful work and supervision on a supportive team.
The Position: We’re looking for an ACT Employment Specialist, Qualified Professional in Mental Health
Pay rate: $20.00-$22.00 based on education and experience
- Bonus: $3000 sign on bonus
- Schedule: we are hiring for full time hourly positions Monday- Friday with participation in an on call rotation
- Location: RHA ACT Team is located in Asheville, NC. Is community based serving Buncombe and Henderson Counties.
Position Requirements:
Bachelor Degree (in Human Services field) & 2 or more years full-time experience with individuals living with mental illness OR
Bachelor Degree (Not Human Services field) & 4 or more years full-time experience with individuals living with mental illness OR
Master’s Degree or Higher & 1 or more years full-time experience OR
License or Provisional License in a human services field
Responsibilities:
Assisting individuals to set and achieve goals to gain employment based on their career preferences
Providing benefits information and support to help people maintain a high quality of life
Facilitating relationships and serving as a link between the individual, guardians, local agencies and the community; especially as it relates to employment, benefits and independent living
Minimizing the negative effects of psychiatric symptoms or substance use that interfere with the person’s ability to work or maintain employment, providing supportive counseling
Helping people in the development of various skill building activities, including: daily and community living skills, socialization skills, and behavior and anger management
Linking and partnering with employers and employment agencies to find preferred job opportunities
Participating in a first responder on-call system available to individuals served by their team and natural support network on a 24/7/365 basis
