Procurement Manager

As part of our procurement group, you will be integral to meeting testing demand with seamless and cost effective supply for our front line and support staff. Overseeing this group will ensure we can continue to provide excellent and quality diagnostic clinical care.

POSITION SUMMARY
This position oversees Buying and Supplier Performance Management across the organization for direct and indirect supplies and services and is responsible for the daily operations of procurement in support of all company facilities. Provides service levels that achieve department and company objectives. Develops and upgrades team experience and knowledge and improves cycle time and team efficiency via strong and sustainable processes.

 

Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Demonstrated successful leadership skills.

Understanding of best-in-class procurement processes and techniques.

Strong accounting and mathematical skills.

Ability to make sound decisions using intelligent risk-taking and critical thinking skills.

Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems and supply/demand alignment.

Effective interpersonal relations skills and ability to communicate effectively verbally and in written form.

Ability to organize, set priorities and manage time efficiently.

Ability to work independently and give clear instruction to team.

Ability to work effectively with all common office software, and a working knowledge of database software usage. 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field.

Six (6) years buying/purchasing experience. 

Four (4) years of supervisory experience.   

  
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Masters Business Administration. 

Six Sigma Certification.

Six (6) years of post-Bachelor supply chain management experience.

Additional related education and/or experience.
