Health Educator (WIC/Ambltry)

In this role, the successful candidate The Health Educator will facilitate sexual health workshops for youth in high schools, conduct one on one health education, provide referrals, and facilitate peer education training group.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct evidence based sexual health workshops in Brooklyn high schools
• Provide one on one risk reduction counseling and connect students to needed services
• Plan and implement youth development activities.
• Conduct outreach
• Assist in planning and implementing community events
• Facilitate peer education training group.
• Plan and implement outreach activities

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a HS Diploma
Prior work experience with community health outreach. Health related background.

Preferred Qualifications:
Good interpersonal skills and interest in working with adolescents
2 years experience working with youth

Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
