DESCRIPTION

Substitute teachers receive short term assignments to cover teacher absences from classroom, and are responsible for following lesson plans to maintain and further student learning. Successful applicants will receive assignments through SmartFind Express substitute scheduling system.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • This position requires at minimum a 30 day Substitute Permit issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC)
  • Candidates can qualify to apply for this Permit if they have a Bachelor's degree and we recommend passing the CBEST exam
  • If you have not yet passed the CBEST Test please schedule this test

  • You may already meet CBEST/Basic Skills through your SAT, ACT, or another qualifying exam or class. Please check here. 

REQUIREMENTS FOR HIRE  

  

All applicants must:

  • Complete application for this position (including 2 references)
  • To expedite hire processing, candidates may gather the following materials:
  • Negative TB test current within past 60 days
  • Sealed copies of all college transcripts
  • Valid Driver's License, ID card, Permanent Residency Card or current US passport
  • Social Security Card (no copies)
