Business Development Representative

POSITION SUMMARY: 

The Business Development Representative (BDR)  is responsible for driving new business to the front of the sales funnel by educating potential clients and setting up opportunities for the Major Market sales team to close.  This role will focus on building pipelines, lead generation, qualifying & filtering leads, identifying emerging categories, and customer service support for NCM’s self-service websites. The Business Development Representative (BDR) at NCM will also have the opportunity to leverage AI technology/tools to enhance your sales and business development efforts.  The main responsibility of this position is to provide support to the Major Market sales team throughout the sales process and to assist in improving sales cycles and conversion rates.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Research prospective clients, key account companies, and their respective business and branding challenges
  • Meet and exceed quarterly sales budgets by promoting and qualifying NCM’s full line of in-cinema, digital, OOH and integrated solutions/platforms
  • Qualify and filter potential leads along with setting up appointments
  • Providing administrative support functions for the sales team
  • Gain a deep understanding of our product portfolio and value proposition enabling you to effectively communicate them through proposals and presentations.
  • Craft a great first impression to our prospects and customers by adding value during every customer touchpoint

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1-2 years of sales experience with proven ability preferred
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Tech Savvy with a willingness to explore and adopt AI technology/tools.
  • Must be team and results oriented and a self-starter.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • Ability to work efficiently and independently in a fast-paced environment.

Experience and Training:

Any combination of the following experience and training (designated as required and/or preferred) that would provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. 

  • We’re looking for Business Development Representatives who are either recent college graduates and/or have a few years of sales experience under their belts. Experience selling over the phone is also helpful.
  • Please note that this is an entry-level position and isn’t a role for those with Senior Sales experience.

Work Conditions:

This job operates in a professional office environment as well as a home office as a hybrid position. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.

Physical Conditions:

SALARY RANGE & BENEFIT OPTIONS FOR COLORADO APPLICANTS:

Salary Range:  Base Salary of approximately $50,000 annually plus bonus - compensation is commensurate with skills & experience.
