Glamping Resort General Manager

Do you love camping, exploring new areas and nature? Do you love meeting people from all over the world? Our new Yellowstone Glamping Site opens May of 2023 and with this General Manager opportunity, you can lead our growing team! We're looking for a general manager to lead our assistant manager, food and beverage staff, and our cleaning/maintenance staff, joining us in the mountains of Island Park, Idaho near Yellowstone National Park. Work may start as early as April.

Our general manager will be responsible for managing a team and fostering a positive work culture that will together deliver an exceptional visitor experience in the great outdoors. You have the option of staying on site in our beautiful 40 acre property filled with acres of pine forest, meadows and aspen groves, all with free rent if you want it. $15-$20/hour with vast upward career path opportunities (ask me about this).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • -Willingness to build and join a fun team who love beautiful outdoor environments
  • -Lead your team to success in running the day to day operations of a glamping site with as many as 175 guests per day.
  • -Maintain a high average guest rating.
  • -Schedule shifts for team members.
  • -Make sure maintenance issues are handled by staff in a timely manner.
  • -Not be above any job task you ask anyone else to do.
  • -Make sure the food and beverage team gets the food/supplies they need and that the cafe is appropriately stocked.
  • -Assign someone to pick up water or do it yourself.
  • -Assign someone to clean the laundry or do it yourself.
  • -Make sure tents are being cleaned and maintained so each guest has a great experience.
  • -Make sure the site is well maintained.
  • -Run the welcome center from 4-7pm, check in guests and coordinate with new bookings.
  • -Be able to run Apple IOS on an ipad.
  • -Be able to use spreadsheet and calendar software.
  • -Be able or willing to learn how to operate a point of sale system through square.
  • -Regularly report back to owners on the day to day operations.
  • -Make sure there’s enough chopped wood for the guests at all times.
  • -Maintain a minimum level of store inventory.
  • -Coordinate check in/out of games in the game library.
  • -Make sure the campground fire is lit every morning and evening 
  • -Must have valid driver’s license or similar government issued ID and be able to legally work in the United States.
  • -Must have English as your first language or equal level of English language competency.
  • -Ensure tent batteries are charged and in good working condition
  • -Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds
  • -Must thrive in beautiful mountain surroundings
