Laundromat Associate (Part-Time)
Qualifications
- Background test required for employment (employer paid)
- 18 years of age or above
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver's License or State ID
- Friendly, personable demeanor
- Basic cash handling and math skills
- Able to work independently with minimal direct supervision
- Able to lift 20-40lbs
- Able to spend entire shift standing, walking, crouching, bending, and kneeling
- Able to climb on top of machines or equipment as needed and use a step stool
- Able to operate a point-of-sale system.
- Capable of working in a fast-paced environment with multiple interruptions
- Able to work nights, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Willing to wash, dry, fold other people's laundry
- Willing and able to perform basic janitorial duties (sweep & mop floor, wipe down machines, general cleaning, trash handling, etc.)
SHIFT HOURS
Weekday evenings
- Weekday Shift Starts between 12:00pm (noon) and 5:00pm
- Weekday shifts beginning before 5:00pm will generally be off by 5:00pm or 6:00pm
- Weekday shifts beginning at 5:00pm will generally be off between 9:00pm and 10:00pm depending on last customer and the time it takes to complete duties.
Weekend Shifts
- Weekend shifts typically start between 12:00 and 5:00pm
- Weekday shifts beginning before 5:00pm will generally be off by 5:00pm or 6:00pm
- Weekday shifts beginning at 5:00pm will generally be off between 9:00pm and 10:00pm depending on last customer and the time it takes to complete duties.
Who You Will Serve
- Locals from the neighborhood, customers show drive from all over town to wash or drop off laundry with us, casino customers, sports teams, convention attendees, travelers, and tourists.
What You Will Do
This is an example of the duties you will perform.
- Greet customers/guests
- Advise customers on products and services offered
- Sweep and mop floors
- Wipe down and clean washers and dryers
- Clean folding tables
- Make change
- Handle customer questions and refunds
- Count and reconcile cash register drawer
- Handle customer issues
- Answer the phone, smile, laugh, and be kind to our customers
- Assist customers with self-service washers and dryers
- Operate a point-of-sale system
- Sell various laundry supplies
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for customers
- Wash, dry, and fold customer drop off laundry following proper procedures
- Operate standard washing and drying equipment
- Clean and detail washers
- Clean dryer lint traps
- Perform other routine cleaning duties as assigned
- Able to speak Spanish is a major plus
- Wash, dry and fold customer's laundry
