Water Resource Control Engineer (JC-317675)

The State Water Resources Control Board, Los Angeles Region, has an opening for a Water Resource Control Engineer position in the Remediation Section.  The position location is 320 W. 4th Street, Suite 200, Los Angeles, CA 90013.

Under close supervision of a Senior Water Resource Control Engineer and consistent with good customer service practices and the goals of the State and Regional Board’s Strategic Plan, the incumbent is expected to be courteous and provide timely responses to internal/external customers, follow through on commitments, and to solicit and consider internal/external customer input when completing work assignments. The incumbent performs engineering assignments with the Site Cleanup II Unit. The Site Cleanup Program primarily involves regulatory oversight of soil and groundwater contaminated sites under the Cost Recovery Program. The Site Cleanup Program deals with subsurface investigation and corrective action for sites, which includes brownfield cases, refineries, commercial/industrial sites, aboveground/underground storage tanks, Department of Defense projects and special project for preliminary responsible party search in San Fernando Valley.
