Compensation and Benefits Manager

You will oversee the Compensation and Benefits functions at Modine. You will review and modify existing programs, ensure compliance with current legislation, support the recruitment process, and manage daily compensation and benefits-related activities.
You will report to our Director, Total Rewards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for overall design, implementation, and administration of our global compensation programs as well as US health and welfare programs, defined contribution benefit plans, and other required programs.
  • Review compensation data from labor market surveys to ensure that internal compensation is reasonable compared to comparable businesses/industries.
  • Provide guidance to HR and management on pay decisions, policy and practices, and job evaluations.
  • Oversee the salary planning process, including manager training, audits, pay equity analysis, and executive summaries.
  • Complete ad-hoc analytics to provide summaries and/or recommendations to guide business decisions and results.
  • Review and recommend changes to employee incentives and benefits, such as retirement plans or insurance coverage.
  • Conduct regular market benchmarking and partner with brokers to propose, implement, and maintain competitive and cost-effective US and international benefit programs including Wellness and 401(K).
  • Oversee the administration of the annual benefit programs, including annual enrollment process. for US, and conduct/assist in internal and external audits and discrimination testing.
  • Ensure benefit programs comply with state and federal regulations including, but not limited to, ERISA, FMLA and HIPAA.
  • Manage complex leave administration and benefits issues.
  • Develop communications to promote participation and use of benefit programs.
  • Ensure discreet handling of all business with employees and managers, maintaining the highest level of confidentiality.
  • Support salary vacation accrual reporting
  • Assist and support other human resources functions as needed.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 5+ years of experience. Must have compensation experience.
  • Prior executive compensation and stock administration experience, preferred.
  • Strong Excel skills required.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Work in a time-sensitive and fast-paced environment, handle multiple requests and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Ability to pivot between strategic and tactical issues.
  • Advanced analytical skills and attention to detail which result in sound decisions, solutions, and recommendations.
