Central Overpayment Unit Manager

The Office of Fiscal Services is seeking to hire a well-organized, energetic and detail-oriented manager to join our team in the Bureau of Collections, to serve as the Central Overpayment Unit Manager. This position will analyze and evaluate unit activities for establishment of overpayment claims, initiate recommendations to management regarding improved methods and techniques for processing claims, and accurately determine claim amounts in offices throughout the State. Job Responsibilities
1. Serves as the Central Overpayment Unit Manager.
2. Directs operations of the Account Support and Central C Code Unit.
3. Serves as full-line supervisor.
4. Develops, plans, organizes, and implements projects to increase quality and quantity of overpayment claims established by field consultants and to resolve problems of automatically established claims.
5. Reviews Federal regulations and State statutes.
6. Develops and maintains cooperative working relationships among Units and Local Offices, Attorney General’s, and State’s Attorney offices.
7. Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years college with course work in business or public administration.
  • Requires three (3) years progressively responsible administrative experience in a public or private organization.
