The Division of Developmental Disabilities is seeking to hire a Residential Services Administrator for the Murray Developmental Center in Centralia. An ideal candidate that will support the values and vision of the agency and have passion and an ability to advocate and enable growth in our individuals. The Residential Services Administrator will direct the day-to-day activities through administrative and programmatic staff that serve individuals with developmental disabilities. The Murray Developmental Center is consistently and respectfully providing quality person-centered supports and services to people with developmental disabilities to assist them in achieving optimal health, independence, and happiness and to develop or maintain family and community involvement to the maximum extent possible.
Job Responsibilities
  • Serves as Residential Services Administrator.
  • Directs professional staff and non-professional unit staff in formulating and implementing programs and habilitation/treatment plans for individuals served.
  • Serves as full-line supervisor.
  • Coordinates unit programs with other units.
  • Verifies unit program policies, procedures and treatment plans comply with Department rules and regulations, Center policy and procedures, Department of Human Services (OHS), Public Health, as well as other relevant standards and regulations.
  • Develops and implements unit training programs.
  • Attends Executive Committee meetings to determine unit and Center policy and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years college with course work in a social or human services field.
  • Requires four (4) years progressively responsible administrative experience in a health or human services organization.
Conditions of Employment
  • Ability to work on-call, after business hours, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to serve as Administrator on Duty (AOD) on a rotation basis.
  • Basic proficiency in the use of computer systems.
  • Requires the ability to meet all agency vaccine/health-related policies and guidance.
  • Requires ability to pass the IDHS background check.
  • Requires ability to pass a drug screen for drugs prohibited from recreational use under Illinois Law.
