Gas Supply Analyst
About the Role
Responsible for KUB’s natural gas contracts and purchases. On a daily basis, purchases and schedules natural gas and manages storage assets. Prepares forecasts; analyzes complex data and draws meaningful conclusions. Works cooperatively and communicates with a variety of individuals and teams internal and external to KUB such as gas suppliers and pipelines. Provides regular updates to management. Demonstrates flexibility in performing daily tasks and accepts additional duties as needed.
Minimum Requirements
● BS/BA in relevant field such as accounting, finance, economics, or data analytics from an accredited college or university
● Strong analytical skills and experience with complex data
● Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects to meet deadlines
● Proficiency in database management, spreadsheets, and presentation software (Microsoft Office Suite)
● Strong written and oral communication
● Nights, on call, and weekend/ holiday rotating shifts are required for this position
● Have and maintain a valid driver's license
Physical Requirements
Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and / or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Physical demands for a specific position within this classification may vary and / or exceed those demands described above.
Preferred Requirements
● 3+ years’ experience in contracts or logistics
● Utility or natural gas industry experience
