Customer Insights and Forecasting Analyst I/II - Hybrid

This position may be considered for a hybrid work arrangement based on ALLETE’s needs. A Hybrid work arrangement means the employees position will be a blend of work performed both in-person and at an offsite location such as an employee's home office.  This position will report to Duluth, MN.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Deliver actionable insights on how to better serve existing customers and how to retain or grow the customer base.
  • Provide analytical support to the Strategic Accounts and Regional Development teams. 
  • Conduct market-related research to support product and services pricing, new customer program development, and regulatory filings. 
  • Leverage data analytics, economic analysis, customer demographics, and statistical modeling to forecast customer demand and inform company communications.
  • Develop customer rate design and program offering strategies that position Minnesota Power for a rapidly evolving utility business model.
  • Participate on cross-functional teams to advance customer program initiatives.
  • Work with the Compliance team to provide modeling and analytics support for customer program regulatory compliance requirements, along with completing customer program evaluation. 
  • Corporate decisions and compliance requirements will be based on analytics, insights, and forecasts provided.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Degree in economics, finance, statistics, business administration, data analytics, management information systems, or a related field preferred

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Customer Insights and Forecasting Analyst I: No experience required

Customer Insights and Forecasting Analyst II: Three or more years of related or equivalent experience

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, strategic thinking, analytic and problem solving abilities, attention to detail and accuracy, and ability to manage conflicting priorities are
  • This position may be subject to assessment of skills, job match and/or aptitude.
