Coordinator, Experiential Learning

The College of Health Solutions seeks an energetic team member to serve as the Coordinator of Experiential Learning for online and immersion students. As a member of the Student Success Hub, this position will work directly with students and faculty to coordinate research, volunteer, internship, and other experiential learning opportunities for undergraduate students. A successful candidate will have strong attention to detail, effective written and verbal communication skills, be resourceful, a problem solver, and have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, while balancing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.

Essential Duties:

  • Maintain a database of experiential opportunities for students that fulfill the College's core curriculum requirement.
  • Confer with relevant faculty regarding student roles and responsibilities to ensure opportunities meet course competencies and program goals.
  • Collaborate with CHS advising and the Office of Clinical Partnerships to ensure students are following procedures to prepare and register for experiential learning opportunities. 
  • Develop marketing materials, and maintain webpages that advertise new and existing experiential learning courses and clearly outline the registration processes to obtain credit.
  • Publicize experiential learning opportunities available to students via newsletters, social media, and word-of-mouth.
  • Host informational sessions and facilitate student meetings to provide guidance and promote experiential learning course options.
  • Facilitate the Adobe Sign process and track course registration associated with experiential learning opportunities.
  • Collaborate with academic advisors on the processes for fulfilling experiential learning curricular requirements.
  • Serve as a point-of-contact for CHS 280/484 instructors of record, assist with scheduling experiential learning courses, and work with faculty to create student intake forms for experiential learning courses.
  • Use knowledge of and experience in health care and education to guide decision-making, effective reasoning, and judgment used in the selection, securing, and evaluation of academic affiliation agreements.
  • Ensure the appropriate agreements, contracts, and documentation are completed for volunteering, insurance, and liability purposes.
  • Promptly respond to student, faculty, and staff inquiries and information requests, and resolve concerns with a high level of service.
  • Document student interactions on SalesForce and monitor for inbound experiential learning inquiries. 
  • Use writing and editing skills to develop content for experiential learning.

Minimum Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree in a field appropriate to the area of assignment AND three (3) years of related experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
