Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) Rail, Freight and Ports Division is seeking an experienced and detail oriented professional to fill the Rail and Freight Data Analyst – TPS 3 position. This position serves as the lead passenger rail and multimodal freight data analyst for the Rail, Freight, and Ports Division (RFP). To help RFP meet program changes related to passenger rail data management and reporting needs, this position leads the maintenance and update of new and advanced passenger rail database and modeling application for Rail, Freight and Ports Division and coordinates with external partners on passenger rail performance evaluation and improvement. In addition, this position also fulfills additional responsibilities to address evolving freight and rail planning and reporting needs resulting from the new federal law Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. These responsibilities include but not limited to managing and leading the technical development of multimodal freight data visualization tools and products for statewide freight planning and producing various data reports as well as providing technical assistance to internal and external audiences.
