This position is responsible for supporting, advancing, and coordinating UNLV programming and engagement efforts for the Multicultural Program for STEM & Health Sciences, including the UNLV GEAR UP ASPIRE Scholars Program, in the Office of the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education. Duties will include the development and implementation of college pipeline programming for both academic and social components. This position will be expected to be an ambassador for both the VPUE and MP areas connecting middle school through college students with engaging opportunities and resources. The position includes larger and smaller event programming, creation and implementation of marketing and communication plans, and collaborative work with professional staff to develop website content for the program. Additional responsibilities include working with undergraduate student tutors and mentors, extensive summer programming, and outreach with CCSD.

Requirements:
• Enrolled full time in good standing in a Master’s program in Education, Higher Education, Public Policy, School Counseling, Psychology, Sociology, Marketing, STEM fields or other related discipline.
• Available over the summer for 12-month assignment

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Best practices knowledge of higher education and K-12 educational settings
• Skilled in Google Suite, Excel, PowerPoint, Canva, Instagram and/or Facebook
• Strong interpersonal skills, written and verbal skills, presentation skills, and ability to build partnerships with various internal and external constituents
• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to work autonomously, compile information and consistently display initiative and responsiveness
• Ability to manage multiple priorities across internal and external individuals and groups
• Ability to produce professional reports, analysis, and business processes
• Ability to pass the CCSD fingerprinting & background check process
