Assistant/Associate/Full Professor
The Department of Finance and Insurance within the College of Business at ECU has approximately 500 undergraduate majors and over 20 faculty members and offers courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Job Duties The Department of Finance and Insurance within the College of Business at East Carolina University is seeking applicants for a tenure-track, nine-month faculty position beginning August 2023 with the possibility to begin January 2023. The successful candidate will be able to teach some combination of graduate and undergraduate courses in a variety of courses within the finance discipline. Specialties in other areas of finance will also be considered. The standard teaching load is 9 s.h. in each of the fall and spring semesters. Additional duties include research/creative activities leading to publications as required for tenure as well as appropriate service to the university, community, and profession.

Minimum Education/Experience This appointment requires a PhD in the teaching field or related discipline from an appropriately accredited institution that satisfies credentialing under SACS guidelines. Candidates with PhD newly conferred at the time of initial appointment will hold the probationary rank of Assistant Professor. ABD candidates will also be initially appointed with the probationary term rank of Assistant Professor and must have the terminal degree conferred prior to their first reappointment. The position requires teaching excellence and strong scholarly productivity.
