Solutions Engineer

Who We Are Looking For
The iCTO of the Americas organization is looking for motivated Solutions Engineers focused on enabling rapid service delivery to customers across the Global Technology Services organization and beyond. This position will be responsible for partnering with key POCs across the Enterprise including Business Unit aligned iCTO leaders, Global Cyber Security, Application Development Teams, Enterprise Architecture, and Technology Platforms Engineering & Operations teams to establish a well defined and prioritized backlog of needs and desired outcomes. In parallel, Solutions Engineers will need to focus efforts on building an engineering center of excellence within the iCTO organization to ensure timely service delivery in response to the backlog items.
About iCTO
The Global iCTO organization provides portfolio leadership for the Technology Platforms Engineering and Operations organization and facilitates service delivery across the State Street Enterprise. The global iCTO strives to build and maintain strong relationships across all lines of business, cyber security, architecture, and technology organizations to ensure business demands are well understood and solutioned appropriately.  
iCTO Solutions Engineer Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with iCTO Business Relationship Managers to understand the demand pipeline and develop requirements to meet business outcomes
  • Provide detailed specifications for proposed solutions including time and scope involved.
  • Work closely with IT Portfolio Managers and Functional Leaders within the bank to ensure portfolio initiatives are well defined and being executed.
  • Assist other department engineers in creating practical demonstrations of proposed solutions and demonstrating them to other members of the team
  • Establish a framework for necessary contributions from various departments and facilitate their collaboration
  • Analyze current technologies used within the company and develop steps and processes to improve
  • Document and monitor requirements needed to institute proposed updates in relation to customer experience
  • Work alongside project management teams to successfully monitor progress and implementation of initiatives
  • Account for possible project challenges or constraints and proactively seek to manage challenges
Qualifications

  • Specialization in core infrastructure technologies (networking, datacenter, cloud computing, application development, platform engineering, cyber security)
  • Project development and leadership skill are preferred
  • Experience developing IT and cloud infrastructure
  • Master's degree or relevant practical experience in Computer Science or Software Engineering preferred
  • Up to date understanding of best practices regarding system security measures
  • Experience with software engineering, customer experience and design architecture
  • Advanced understanding of business analysis techniques and processes
  • Extensive knowledge and experience working with various operating systems
  • Professional work experience in analyzing computer hardware and software
  • Ability to work with various departments to facilitate the orderly execution of a proposed project plan
