Warranty Technician

Modine Manufacturing Company is hiring for a Warranty Technician to join our team in Racine, Wisconsin! This is the ideal position for a candidate that is a recent graduate from a technical school or someone that has had some exposure to technical work previously and wants to establish themselves in a stable, global leader in thermal management solutions!
 
The Role
 
The Warranty Technician position is accountable for performing warranty tests, product evaluations, data entry of results, and initiation of further laboratory analysis within Warranty & Reliability Engineering Department using the techniques defined by the departmental Work Instructions and Laboratory Procedures to the quality standards approved by departmental management. This position also requires a clear and displayed commitment to the Modine Quality Policy.
 
The Warranty Technician reports to the Warranty & Reliability Engineering Manager, but is also influenced by the Warranty Engineer and fellow technicians. The Warranty Technician will interact with Modine application and product engineers, customers and suppliers with respect to testing products and analyzing product failures.
 
The Warranty Technician may participate in trips to Modine and customer locations for the purposes of acquiring product/process knowledge, assisting in product reviews, or providing information regarding warranty testing procedures.   
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
 
·      Assisting in and completing routine warranty test set-up and testing under the guidance of an experienced technician.
 
·      Preparing incoming warranty test specimens for storage and test under the guidance of an experienced technician.
 
·      Accuracy and consistency in evaluation and reporting of failure analysis of incoming warranty test specimens under the guidance of an experienced technician.
 
·      Responsibility for participating in non-conformance resolution activities under the guidance of an experienced technician.
 
·      Responsibility for performing routine equipment calibration and maintenance under the guidance of an experienced technician.
 
·      Responsibility for adherence to departmental procedures and work instructions.
 
·      Responsibility for the maintenance of clean, safe work area.
 
 
REQURIED QUALIFICATIONS
 
·      An Associate’s degree in a related discipline is preferred.
 
·      At least 2 years of experience or training is required.
 
·      Basic understanding of basic instrumentation and data acquisition fundamentals.
 
·      Basic computer skills and familiarity with blueprints.
