Test House Assistant
The Test House Assistant will work part time, flexible hours up to 20 hours/week
The Test House Assistant will be exposed to and learn the following skills:
1. How to parse routers and gateways command languages and configure them properly for
Over The Air (OTA) testing.
2. Learn the impacts of position and orientation of WiFi devices on communication throughput rates.
3. Learn how antenna orientations and positions within a device can impact throughput rates.
4. Learn how to optimize antenna systems for best OTA performance.
5. Learn how to scan the surrounding environment to assess the impact of stray signal noise on OTA testing.
6. Learn Authorship of OTA test reports.
7. Learn how to assess WiFi device throughput in terms of RSSI, Mbps.
8. Troubleshoot and concisely document all steps taken in problem solving for review with customer and team.
Qualifications required:
• Basic Microsoft experience for report writing and documentation of test results
•Self-motivated
•Good discipline and can follow the instructions
Specific Job Duties to be completed:
• Create test plans
• Run Wifi RF tests for new routers and extenders
Supervisor title: RF test engineer
Training the Intern will receive:
• Hands on training to set up test cases
• Hands on training on how to configure gateways and extenders
• Hands on training using RF programs to gather RF performance data
