Group Head Grooming Human Safety & Environment
 
Effectively manages others and collaborates cross-functionally to deliver critical innovations across multiple projects in one major area (a technology, a brand, an initiative). Leads groups to deliver GPS projects and/or capability building innovation to the business and has responsibility for delivery of technical rigor and mastery in their organizations.​ Role models an inclusive and respectful culture that highly values GPS technical craftsmanship. Responsible for ensuring that others in his/her group have robust technical mastery and provides a path for continuous learning.
 
Job Qualifications
 
PhD degree - Toxicology, Pharmacology or related fields e.g. (DVM, biosciences ) , DABT certification (optional). With risk assessment expertise, strong leadership of others,, building effective relationship.
 
Technical Leadership - Ability to lead from a position of influence. Experience in developing a major GPS/Product & Environmental Safety support program and/or improvement processes to deliver outstanding results. This role will require the individual to build collaborative partnerships within the organizational unit and across businesses; with partners across sites, sectors and regions, and the GPS sub-functions (e.g. Corp Environmental Safety)– reapplying existing or innovative solutions for superior product safety decision making
 
Technical Mastery – Product assessment, human safety, regulatory toxicology, external influencing - Given the scope of the role, the individual needs to have a proven track record of technical mastery in toxicology/risk assessment, basic knowledge of regulations related to articles, cosmetics, household appliances and medical devices. Proven track record of success at external technical influencing in industry associations is a plus.
 
Proven record of building Diverse, Collaborative Relationships internally and externally –It is critical that the individual can develop excellent working relationships across the global R&D, Marketing and GPS functions to ensure a seamless development process for the challenging business. The ability to develop relationships and to collaborate is critical given the number of global partners internally and some external parties we work with
 
Coaching - Energizing, inspirational leader for the section and individuals reporting functionally into him/her from other regions, enabling them to grow and to develop their careers. Experience with on-boarding new hires.
 
Strategic Leadership – Ability to identify potential external threats to P&G, to evaluate the potential issue and consequences and to develop a recommendation to the company to mitigate risks will be essential. A track record of having done this in the area of human safety/toxicology is desirable.
