Jr Recruiter

The Jr Recruiter supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will:
 
  • Be responsible for the front end of the recruitment lifecycle.
  • Support IRES Staffing/HR functions from posting to interview for the IRES Contract, which consist of 1000+ personnel.
  • Source for qualified candidates and making contact using various forms of communication and databases; creating partnerships to build pipelines and finding recruitment events.
  • Screen resumes, conduct initial phone screening of candidates (by phone or in person), and submit qualified candidates to the Hiring Managers for consideration along with appropriate documents.
  • Coordinate with IRES teammates/subs and hiring managers to determine staffing requirements, assist with creating and posting job requisitions, assist in determining candidate qualifications, coordinate interviews, maintain all recruiting data and most importantly, educate stakeholders on processes and procedures.
  • Facilitate conflict resolution between all stakeholders to include Staffing/HR, teammates/subs, hiring managers and candidates.
  • Attend recruitment events (physically and virtually) locally and out of state.
 
The successful candidate will be able to:
  • Initiate communication with local universities, colleges, academies, entities, etc. to build Jacobs IRES presence in the community.
  • Serve as consultant to hiring managers and/or contact and guide to applicants.
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, with a diverse group of external and internal associates within the organization. 
  • Make independent judgments required for the planning, prioritizing and organizing a diversified workload.
 
 
This position will be filled at Schriever SFB, Colorado Springs, CO
 
This position is expected to pay $39,700 – $49,700 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
 
This position will be posted for a minimum of 3 days. If a candidate has not been selected at that time, it will continue to be posted until a suitable candidate is selected or the position is closed.

Basic Requirements:
Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience: HS Diploma (or GED) and 1 year of general experience; Associate's degree, or higher, and 0 years of general experience
 
  • If this position requires travel selected candidate must be willing to provide proof of fully vaccinated (against COVID-19) status? (the process of which must be completed prior to the anticipated start date)
  • Must have directly related experience in Human Resources or Recruiting
  • Must have, or obtain, an active DoD Secret Clearance
 
Desired Requirements:
  • Have 1 year of experience in IT and/or Technical Recruiting
  • Have experience with Taleo ATS
