Manager Multi-Peril Claims Technology

Position

WCF is an A Rated insurance carrier that is growing in the western U.S. and is looking for an applicant that wants to join a company with a great culture and outstanding benefits. The claims department at WCF has an immediate opening for someone who can demonstrate the WCF values to join their team as a Manager, Multi-Peril Claims Technology reporting to the VP, Claims Operations. This position is a full-time, exempt position, based out of the Sandy, Utah headquarters. This position is open to internal and external candidates.

Responsibilities

The Manager, Claims Technology provides subject-matter expertise to IT development teams during design and construction phases of projects and support issue resolution. The person in this position leads as the primary systems contact for the multi-peril claims team and coordinates projects with other department liaisons to ensure strategic alignment and maximum business value. Working with IT quality assurance, the person in this position develops comprehensive system test plans, scripts, and cases for business system projects and support issues. The Manager, Claims Technology anticipates, analyzes, and resolves IT problems relating to claims technology systems and programs. This person also works with department trainers to develop training materials and lead training for business users. The person in this position maintains oversight of all claims systems and technology resources as well as develops, maintains, and ensures compliance of the electronic claims reporting for all states and all lines of insurance.

Qualifications

The most qualified candidate for this position will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least seven years of work-related experience (or ten years of work experience without a degree).
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Advanced insurance designations preferred.
  • Significant knowledge of business processes, JIRA, and project management.
  • Experience in adjusting multi-peril claims, training, project management, and managing business relationships.
  • Expertise in complex business processes, system design, operations, and claims applications.
  • Excellent conflict management and oral and written communication skills

An internal candidate should have six months in their current position. Candidates should have acceptable job performance and a good attendance record in their current position and must notify their current supervisor that they've applied for the position.
