With the goal of facilitating the adoption of cloud computing technologies on campus, the SE Cloud Engineer will work with our cloud team in the planning, design, deployment, and testing of foundational and reusable elements of multi-cloud (Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)) provisioning and automation tools. The SE Cloud Engineer will consult distributed IT units, faculty, and the research community on networking, security, reliability, performance, monitoring, operations, processes, cost management, infrastructure as code (IaC), shared responsibility models, and well architected frameworks. The Public Cloud Team is group of cloud engineers who do not manage customer workloads in the cloud but focus on learning the cloud platforms to aid and consult members of the University community in the design, security, and operations of cloud computing. Professional development and formal training opportunities are integrated into the SE Cloud Engineer's workload. The Public Cloud Team consults with customers to help them design, secure, and manage their cloud workloads. TECHNICAL INTEGRATION ENGINEER II

Designs, implements, and maintains infrastructure and/or moderately complex technical integrations across multiple systems, including in-house systems, acquired commercial, and external such as Cloud hosted. Provides day-to-day maintenance and long term assistance to ensure subsystems and infrastructure function together and business needs are met.
  • 25% Integrates, identifies, troubleshoots, monitors, and resolves moderately complex, routine, and varied supported services, systems, network, and application problems according to established processes and procedures
  • 25% Serves as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, identifies needs, provides solution options, and communicates issue updates and resolutions
  • 5% Participates in the evaluation of new vendor software releases and impact. Documents and communicates system enhancements or changes
  • 5% Assists with the planning and coordination of system resources, upgrades, security, implementations, and integrations
  • 20% Configures, maintains, upgrades, develops, and tests IT systems and services in alignment with industry best practices
  • 15% Runs, maintains, and operates technical systems and infrastructure
  • 5% Plans and directs staff implementation of small to medium technical projects as needed



TECHNICAL INTEGRATION ENGINEER III

Designs, implements, and maintains infrastructure and/or complex technical integrations across multiple systems, including in-house systems, acquired commercial, and external such as Cloud hosted. Anticipates issues and devises resolution methodology. Provides non-routine maintenance and long term assistance to ensure subsystems and infrastructure function together and business needs are met. Provides guidance and trainings to other staff and serves as a subject matter expert to internal stakeholders.
  • 25% Integrates, identifies, troubleshoots, monitors, and resolves complex and varied supported services, systems, network, and application problems according to established processes and procedures
  • 25% Serves as an expert point of contact for external stakeholders and IT partners regarding system integrations, identifies needs, provides solution options, and communicates issue updates and resolutions
  • 5% Participates in the evaluation of vendor software releases, upgrade planning, and impact. Documents and communicates system enhancements or changes
  • 5% Assists in the design of system and infrastructure specifications, implementation, and/or integration, trend analysis, and capacity planning
  • 20% Plans, coordinates, and executes the development, testing, implementation, integration, and installation of moderately complex system resources, upgrades, and security components in alignment with industry best practices
  • 15% Designs small components and runs, maintains, and operates technical systems and infrastructure
  • 5% Plans and directs staff implementation of small to medium technical projects as needed

Required:
-Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
-Experience with infrastructure as code and/or scripting solutions like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, AWS CLI, Azure CLI, GCP CLI, PowerShell, or Python
-Professional experience designing, architecting, or developing IT systems or services
-Professional experience working with customers to learn about their needs, gather requirements, recommend solutions, and assist with solution implementation

Preferred:
-Experience with multi-account management with tools such as AWS Control Tower, Azure Blueprints, Google Security Command Center Premium, CloudCheckr, or Kion
-Experience with source control, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps and Software Development Lifecycle best practices
-Experience creating, maintaining, and following service and technical documentation for assigned projects and services
-Experience with automation, security, and monitoring tools like AWS Security Hub, Google Security Command Center, AWS Inspector, AWS CloudWatch, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, OpsWorks, AWS Systems Manager, Azure Configuration Manager, Helm, or Prometheus
-Experience with regulatory or security benchmarks like SOC 2, FERPA, HIPAA, NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171, NIST 800-144, or CIS benchmarks
