Human Resources/Onboarding Assistant

Position Title: HR Assistant, Onboarding and Compliance
 
Reports to: Onboarding Supervisor
 
Job summary: We are looking for an experienced HR Onboarding Assistant to join our Human Resources team and help new employees adjust well to our work environment. HR Onboarding Assistant responsibilities include communicating company and position details to new hires before their start date, gathering necessary paperwork and scheduling first days. If you have an HR background, basic knowledge of labor legislation and a flair for interacting with people, we’d like to meet you.
Ultimately, you will organize and facilitate our company’s onboarding procedures for new hires.

Responsibilities

  • Schedules new hires for onboarding
  • Process I9 files, complete, verify and audit I-9 files
  • Assigning the appropriate managers the new hires in the timekeeping & HRIS platforms
  • Make photocopies, scans and emails documents and performs other clerical functions
  • Draft work verification letters
  • Draft separation communications to term employees
  • Process new hires in our HRIS and timekeeping systems
  • Schedules new hires for onboarding

Qualifications

 
  • Experience as a Human Resource Assistant in an organization of at least 500 employees
  • College degree/ BA in related field highly preferred
  • HRIS experience
  • Excel (pivots, charts, etc)
  • Comfortable with databases
  • Customer Service
  • Team Player
  • Detail – Oriented
  • Time Management
  • Strong Follow up
